My morning ritual
Looks a little something like…
Early rising - I personally feel my best when I go to sleep early and wake up early. I like to have some alone time before my daughter wakes up in the morning, and waking up earlier allows for that to happen.
No phone for 30 minutes - This is something I’ve implemented, that I don’t always accomplish to be honest, but I truly FEEL so much better when I do. I try not to check my phone for the first 30 minutes of the day with the exception of throwing on a podcast or music.
Drink lots of water - H2O importance needs no explanation.
Make my bed - a daily must for me is making the bed. Making your bed has so many benefits!
and starts your day with a sense of accomplishment right off the bat. I’ll also tidy up the rest of the house to have as fresh of a start to the day as possible.
Read - I’ll usually read at least a little bit in the morning when I’m not checking my phone! Whether it’s a self-help book, or some trashy romance novel, I find any reading in the morning beneficial.
Breakfast & coffee - my avocado toast with chicken sausage and collagen coffee is grounding. I definitely prefer eating in the mornings. Honestly this is my favorite part of the morning because food is involved of course.
